Booking Guide

This guide explains how customers book through a business’s public page. The exact labels may vary by language (/en/..., /ja/..., etc.), but the flow is the same idea everywhere.

Booking uses a single multi-step flow on the business page (not separate apps for each step). Steps can include:

  1. Choose a service — list with descriptions, duration, and price.
  2. Pick date and time — calendar and available slots from the business schedule.
  3. Extra questions (optional) — businesses can add custom steps or fields when that feature is enabled.
  4. Your details — name, email, and email verification.
  5. Notes / phone (optional) — if shown, complete them before review.
  6. Review and confirm — submit the request.

Screenshots in older docs may show more granular steps; on the live site these are usually progress steps inside one flow.

To reduce fake bookings, you must verify your email:

  1. Enter your email and request a code (OTP).
  2. Open your inbox and copy the one-time code.
  3. Enter the code and complete verification before moving on.
  • Your request is recorded. Many businesses start bookings as pending and move them to confirmed from their dashboard — so “instant confirmation” may mean “we received it,” not always “final approval,” until the business processes it.
  • You should see a confirmation screen with a booking code.
  • You may also get email updates based on how the business configured notifications.

To see status again:

  1. Open the booking status page (URL pattern often includes booking-status; use the link from the business or email).
  2. Enter your booking code and search.

Guests do not use a separate “My bookings” login in BOOKIN — use the code or contact the business for changes.

Some websites embed BOOKIN in an iframe (path like /embed/<business-slug>). The steps are the same as the standalone booking page.

  • Book early for busy businesses.
  • Double-check date, time, and service on the review step.
  • Save your booking code and confirmation emails.
  • Didn’t get the OTP? Wait a minute, check spam, and confirm the email address has no typos.
  • Need to reschedule or cancel? Contact the business — they manage the appointment.
