Booking through LINE
BOOKIN runs inside LINE as a MINI App. Customers find a business, book, and get their confirmations and reminders without leaving LINE.
For customers
Section titled “For customers”Finding a business
Section titled “Finding a business”The LINE directory lets you search businesses and filter by category, scrolling for more as you go.
Booking
Section titled “Booking”The LINE booking flow has three steps:
- Choose a service
- Choose a date and time
- Review
You’re already signed in with LINE, so there’s no separate account. You’ll need your first and last name, plus either a phone number or an email address.
You can opt in to “Send reminders and confirmations via LINE” while booking.
After booking you’ll see your booking code with a copy button, and a note that a confirmation has been sent through LINE.
Opening BOOKIN outside LINE
Section titled “Opening BOOKIN outside LINE”If you open a BOOKIN LINE link in a normal browser, you’ll see an Open BOOKIN in LINE screen with a QR code and a button, since the MINI App only runs inside LINE.
For businesses
Section titled “For businesses”What you get
Section titled “What you get”Two separate things, both needing Starter or above:
LINE notifications to you — new appointment notifications in LINE alongside your other channels.
LINE booking for your customers — your business appears in the LINE directory with its own booking flow, and your customers receive confirmations and reminders as LINE messages.
Connecting LINE
Section titled “Connecting LINE”Go to Settings → Notification Providers and connect through LINE Login. You’ll come back to the settings page with LINE connected.
Messages your customers receive
Section titled “Messages your customers receive”Three LINE-approved message types: confirmation, reminder, and status update.
Customers only get LINE messages if they opted in during booking.
Deciding whether to use it
Section titled “Deciding whether to use it”LINE booking suits businesses whose customers already live in LINE — common in Japan. Worth weighing:
- Shorter flow — fewer steps, but no custom questions
- Higher completion — no email verification step to lose people at
- Message limits — the follow-up allowance above
- Not a replacement — your web booking page keeps working, and most businesses run both
